Wholesale Account Policy

True Ames Wholesale Account Policy

Ordering:

  • Wholesale website: You will be able to login to your wholesale account by following the 'Wholesale' tab in the top menu at www.trueames.com
    • This is the best option for ordering where you can see wholesale pricing, live inventory, variant availability, your order history etc..
  • We are available for special circumstances or further questions via phone (805-685-8341), email (info@trueames.com), or local pickup
    • If ordering via phone or email, you must be prepared to supply us with design style, base compatibility (Single box/Futures/FCS/Glass-on), size, and color preference  

Minimum orders:

  • Domestic wholesale account: 5 fin minimum order once a quarter
  • International wholesale account: 20 fin minimum order once a quarter
  • Please note...
    • Clothing, hats and any accessories do not count towards the minimum
    • Twin sets, Tri sets, Asymmetrical, and Quad sets count as one unit (i.e. one fin)

Payment Methods:

  • Credit Card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express) & PayPal (please provide email before order is shipped)
  • COD
  • Wire transfers are required for international orders over $1,150.00 USD
  • Net terms - only for long standing accounts that order an average of $1,000 worth of fins consistently. If / when you meet these requirements and would like to apply, please inquire at info@trueames.com  

Lead times:

  • If all items on order are in stock, we usually ship within 1- 3 days
  • During holidays or peak seasons lead times may increase due to volume of orders received
  • If all items are not in stock, we will notify you in order to discuss options

Custom product orders:

  • Custom orders are reserved for accounts who have built a relationship with True Ames
    •
  • Custom Order Form (provided upon request) must be filled out for consideration, but does not guarantee production. You will be notified concerning our decision.  
    •

     

    Shipping Method:

    • We ship from Goleta, California 93117 in the United States
    • We always do our best to research and provide the lowest possible shipping rates
    • Domestic shipping:
      • FedEx Ground for domestic accounts (FedEx 2 day or Express upon request)
      • We can ship USPS upon request
      • We can ship UPS via your account # upon request (can’t always get out the order the same day with this option)
    • International shipping:
      • DHL Express for International accounts
      • We can ship FedEx International Priority upon request
      • If you have a forwarding company, please notify us so we can arrange a pickup
      • All taxes, cost and import procedures need to be known and accounted for by wholesale account before order is shipped. These are your responsibility.

    Drop Shipping:

    - For surfboard fins it is $5 fee shipped via FedEx

    - For windsurf fins it is $10 fee shipped via FedEx

    - No international drop ships

    Selling Platforms:

      • Original wholesaler’s store front, shaping room, glass factory, brick and mortar shop etc.
      • Original wholesaler’s website
      • Wholesale dealer / distributor (you must notify us if this is your intent)
  • True Ames products are strictly prohibited from being sold on EBay or Amazon by any account

    MSRP:

  • See our retail price list for suggested pricing  
    •
  • Need to be within the Map Policy Pricing
    •
  • If undercutting is detected, we reserve the right to terminate your account
    •

     

    Returns/Cancellations:

  • Returns will be handled by an individual basis due to the reason of return. Returns must be dealt with within 10 days of receiving the product
    •
  • We do not accept used or altered fins for return
  • No buybacks
  • Cancellations before shipping need to be done within 1 day of ordering
    •
  • Cancellations made after orders are sent: return shipping costs, and safe transport will be your responsibility.

  • No cancellations on custom orders
    •

     

    Distribution:

    • Intent or desire to distribute must be disclosed and can be discussed on an individual basis
    • Distributors are required to manage their accounts and ensure that they are upholding all of the True Ames Wholesale Account requirements in regards to MSRP and selling platforms.

    If at anytime True Ames has reason to believe you or your company is not protecting our brand or current wholesale account standards, your wholesale status can be revoked.
