2025: A True Ames Year in Review

As we look back on 2025, we want to thank you for being part of the True Ames story.

What began in 1979 as a small surfboard fin operation, discovered by chance, has grown into a craft rooted in passion, collaboration, and an unwavering commitment to quality. From the first fins made by hand to the library of templates we build from today, the work has always been guided by care, intention, and a belief that details matter.

For more than four decades, we’ve had the privilege of working alongside surfers and shapers who value feel over flash, function over hype, and stories that run deeper than trends. Your trust, curiosity, and shared love for this craft are what keep us going. Every fin we make carries that connection forward. Thank you for being part of it!

We did a lot in our 46th year of business. Brought back some templates like the Norm Flex, Greenough Stage III, and a collection of Larry Gephart’s. We also added some new ones from folks like Lovelace, Lopez, Burch, McCallum, Quintal, Disney, and Valaric. We captured and shared more surfing and stories than ever before.

Headed into 2026, we are super excited to keep pushing forward. We have a bunch of new partnerships and templates in the works and a plethora of exciting videos and stories to share.
