Elmore Surfboards and Fantastic Acid hanging with Pukas in Europe

Mail from Pukas: Elmore Surfboards with Fantastic Acid
Gotta love a bit of mail from the other side of the world. The folks at Pukas are currently hosting Troy Elmore, who is shaping up a solid batch of boards while in town. If you're in Europe and in the market, you can order here. It was very fun to see, good friend and partner of True Ames, Tristan Mouse aka Fantastic Acid was also in the hood, hanging out and shaping with Mr. Elmore.

Fantastic Acid Displacement Hulls
Tristan Mause is best known for his fascination with displacement hulls, building a variety of hull designs under the label Fantastic Acid. From a 5'0 Flexspoon GG to a 9'6 Parlementia, Tristan has the hull bottom vibing in all shapes and sizes, he's even put out some classy educational material if you care to dive in. We recently teamed up with Fantastic Acid to give his epic hull shapes the volan fins they deserve. Some of these fins are wild, and we love it.

Troy Elmore the Traveling Shaper
Troy Elmore is one of the most gifted surfers on earth. Style oozes from this guy - he makes any wave, any condition, worth a paddle out. We've seen it many times with our own two eyes, especially during our Swell Events.
It's rad to see his surfboards follow suit...clean, crisp, intentional shapes. Functional, zippy, lots of flow. His True Ames fins follow suit. They are unique, having a legacy look with graceful curves is hard to do; there are only so many curves to draw. Yet, Troy's fins and boards under Elmore Surfboards give you fresh excitement.

Fresh Marine Ply Glass On Keels
We foiled up some fresh Marine Ply Glass On Keels for Troy's trip across the pond. The perfect companion to the pair of Elmore My Fish's he is putting together while out there. Marine Ply is an ideal wood for surfboard fins. They are light, receive resin super well, and look beautiful with the brown glue lines popping off after foiling. Larry Gephart and the crew down in San Diego (Steve Lis, Skip Frye, etc.) were early innovators of the Keel design and use of Marine Ply.
