Ryan Burch Emerges
It had been a minute since Mr. Burch graced us with some video action (See Unreal Planing). Burch himself has been mysto on the socials, so getting some air time, especially surfing a few pure walls in Bali, is a treat!
Burch eloquently breaks down board dynamics, carefully sharing a fun tidbit about making boards for other surfers like Mikey Wright, and shows off some stellar sea legs of his own. But, maybe the most heroic clip of the edit, comes from his nephew, Kobe Hughes, with a massive backside hack at 2:02
Burch takes a second to reminisce about the time he made 40 asym shortboards for a long stint in Indo. Which reminds us you should probably go watch The Ryan Burch Experiment: A Volcom Collection - it's got a few clips from that era.
Speaking of Mikey Wright...
We truly all benefit from these surfer owned, collective brands. This edit from the sunglass co Ritual Vision is all bits raw and fire powered. Pretty hardcore surfing if you ask us.
Mikey's surfing on the Burch Pickle Fork is other worldly. He's a big part of the reason we sized up and released the Burch Twin Large. He's also one of the main reasons we are working on a larger set of the heel side quad fins.

+The A.I. Pro by Lost - we were Glass On Lords up to the mid-90's when fin boxes really caught on, fun to see an OG sled get wet.

Surfer, Scientist, Braddah Cliff
Cliff Kapono is surfing's current Albert Einstein, breaking down surf as a science in very fun, entertaining blips. This clip couldn't be more True Ames relevant as Cliff breaks down the lift of a fin. We clearly appreciate the use of a Power Glide 45 as a prop.
Cliff has been on a proper rampage of posts recently, interviewing surfers at what appears to be his local. One of the more iconic moments came with the "filled in swallow tail" explanation he gets from a squash tailed quad.
Indonesian Dream Fest with Luca Aza
Luca is getting in a serious groove out yonder, he's still coming off major ankle rehab, but it appears to be less and less of an issue. Luca took 12+ sets of fins with him to swap in and out of asym twins, asym 1+2's, and a few quads. The green room is calling.
King William
William Aliotti is no rookie when it comes to Southeast Asian reef breaks. He's been posting some very proper slottage on a fresh Ryan Lovelace and Lovemachine quiver.
Pssst he's also riding True Ames fins. Will's go to is the William Twin, but he runs a smattering of Lovelace templates that pair into is expansive quiver. The collection of Dusty Rose skegs is surely an eye catcher.

Rincon Designs Surf Shop Re-Opens
Our dear homies re-opened the iconic Rincon Designs Surf Shop just around the corner from our still-feeling-new-headquarters here in Carpinteria. Matt Moore is an icon of the Santa Barbara surf community and master shaper, his son Ryan is a fixture in the Rincon lineup and local small business mogul. Very excited for them!
DSRT Surf Sneak Peeks
There are quite a few wavepools out there these days, but for whatever reason, the clips that came out from DSRT Surf looked extra levels of spicy. The tube section looks more open and longer, the airs these folks are doing are video game-esque, and this Pete Mendia hack sent the wave back into the machine.
