Kassia Meador Poppy 4A

Nothing quite captures California's vibrant colors, energy, and environment, like Kassia Meador. Oh, and the Poppy flower.

Introducing the Kassia x True Ames Poppy Collection

Kassia Meador is one of the most influential longboarders of her generation. A California original whose style, creativity, and curiosity have carried her from the waves of Malibu to coastlines around the world.

We've been lucky enough collaborate with the queen of California herself, on a limited California Poppy inlay of our classic Greenough 4A fin.

Kassia began surfing Malibu at 14 and quickly emerged as a defining figure in the resurgence of traditional longboarding. Kassia became known for an unmistakably graceful approach: smooth lines, effortless noserides, and a deeply personal style that helped push longboarding beyond competition and toward something more expressive. By 17, surfing was taking her around the world, beginning a life shaped by travel, creativity, and an endless curiosity for what might be around the next bend.

Over the years, that same instinct has led Kassia into design, photography, environmental advocacy, and entrepreneurship. But no matter how far she wanders, California remains the throughline.

It’s where she learned to surf, developed her style, and formed the creative perspective she’s carried with her ever since. That connection comes full circle in this collection, where the California poppy—a symbol of the place Kassia calls home—finds its way onto the tools she uses to explore beyond it.

Rooted in California. Made to wander.

Built using the proven Greenough 4A template, each fin features a custom graphic inlay that celebrates the natural beauty and timeless spirit of the California coast. An exclusive limited release, crafted for surfers who appreciate both performance and artistry.

"I feel like this fin design is truly an ode to California and the surf innovation that has come out of the California surf community".

"In the last few years since I've been riding Dane's boards and really pushing my surfing and my turns a lot more, I've been really going back towards the 4A. I feel like it's just a perfect fin. And it works in almost every surfboard".

"I really love the poppy. I just think it's such a delicate and beautiful flower and it just really highlights what California is. This beautiful, dynamic contrast of a place".

With Kassia growing up surfing with the Marshall's and her California Valley roots, it only felt right to do our limited release of these fins at Brother's Marshall in Malibu.

Bundled with our fin collaboration, we've released some fresh printed Kassia x True Ames merch, our new Poppy Dad Hat and Tee for all your summertime surfs or our Poppy Hoodie for some winter adventures.
