We're thrilled about our long partnership with Ryan Lovelace, who has truly revolutionized the alternative surfboard scene. His meticulous attention to detail, strong work ethic, and dedication to hand-shaping, combined with his unique ability to blend vintage and modern designs, have carved out a special niche for him in the surfing industry. Ryan's journey with surfing began during family vacations to Hawaii in the 90s, where he started developing his connection to the ocean and first tried surfing at 14. By the age of 19, driven by curiosity and the high cost of new boards, Ryan started shaping his own. The positive feedback he received from riders and his growing dislike for the corporate world after studying business and marketing in college inspired him to pursue surfboard shaping professionally. Today, Ryan is recognized as one of the world's most accomplished hand-shapers. His boards have been featured in numerous prestigious surf publications, he boasts a global community of supporters, and he's even won the Icons of Foam Tribute to the Masters Shape Off.
