Todd Pinder, of Todd Pinder Surfboards, brings decades of experience to his craft and understands the crucial role that fins play in both board performance and the surfer's experience. True Ames was excited to collaborate with Todd to bring some of his time-tested fin templates to the lineup.

The Pinder Flyer 9.5" longboard single fin features a more upright design, but unlike other pivot fins, the overall fin area has been reduced. This design aims for traditional longboard surfing and stability on the nose, while still allowing for hard turns and sensitivity in critical sections.

    Todd Pinder is a respected surfboard shaper and the founder of Pinder Hawaii, based in Honolulu. Originally from Key West, Florida, Pinder began shaping boards as a teenager and later moved to Hawaii in the late 1990s to pursue surfboard building in the heart of surf culture. With over 30 years of experience, he is known for hand-shaping and glassing custom boards that blend traditional craftsmanship with versatile performance designs.
